Testosterone Based Fashion Mistakes - Jeans

Jeans define you. Who you are. Where you live. What you ate this morning. How you got to work. Your marital status. The lot. I can sense you rolling those eyes of yours like a slot machine, but don't gamble just yet. Jeans give you your texture, your personal touch and, in rare yet pleasurable occurrences, can make women want to grope your ass. As such it is imperative that you find the right jeans for you by any means necessary - I'm talking save, loan, bribe and steal - no scrap the last one, advocating theft would tarnish my squeaky clean reputation.

As you can imagine finding the right jeans for each prototype is no easy task. Shopping for all clothing requires certain guidelines or at least principles to point you in the right direction. Some might say these would centre on your butt - the sun to our denim solar system, but the connoisseurs of the fashion factories would tell you that it revolves around meeting requirements in terms of fit and style. I'm sure you are aware of friends and strangers who fall into the trap of buying and, furthermore, brandishing the oh so generic 'regular' jeans with the standard plain blue wash (no fade) and common brown stitching. This 'regular' variety qualifies supremely in the fit category but why leave style to rot when you can satisfy both, like a threesome? Of course the fit is important but in all honesty I would favour a fashionable pair over a tailored yet not so sexy mistake.

You must learn to make jeans your own. The reason why there is margin for error on the measurement side of things is because there is no set way in which you must wear them; the same jeans worn loose can accentuate the curves the tight fit suppresses. This can be favourable or detrimental depending on the style you are sponsoring. Unless you are investing in pitch black jeans I would advise you look for a pair with something different and original about them. This would ideally begin with the wash. At minimum a slight fade from the sides to the front is a must. It adds definition and emphasises the unique shape your body provides.

Avoid jeans with a wash that fades too much, akin to forming two different colours on the spectrum. This look is popular in Africa and abroad but it makes you look like a relatively recent acquisition for the homeland. Ripped jeans are cool within reason and different stitching can most definitely add a lot of charisma to an otherwise characterless pair. Don't fold them up. Find the right size or one you can work with, but the good old fold-and-behold technique is no longer viable in the vogue of today. Generally blue, jeans and their greenish variations are casual wear, white jeans are loud and flashy, black is suave and slick.

Whichever jeans you do wear, remember that there is no 'I' in jeans. Your denim is part of a team. The fabric team which defines your outward appearance to the world, and in order to work correctly, your jeans must compliment your whole look. Work with the rest of your apparel and you may be in for a pleasant surprise.

Stop Dreaming and Start Attracting Beautiful Women in 10 Minutes Or Less!

Yes, that's right! Just spend 10 minute and read this article and you will start to have women fall into your lap. No joke. What you need to do first, now that you got your hygiene and fashion and style at optimal range, you now need to get your life-style going.

OK. This is big here. You are going to have to develop a fun and adventurous life style. If you do this one thing, again, you will get young and exciting girls falling like crazy into your life.

If you are a welder and you go home after work and go through the drive through at Taco Bell and go to the local liquor store, getting a 40-Ouncer and end up watching Operation Dumbo Drop on your TV, girls will not go out with you.

That's what a loser would do. Do not do that.

Why would a young women waste her time going out with a loser like that if she can go out with a another guy that has a life-style that will give her excitement and adventure.

Think carefully here.

I'm sure if you do the above, you are a caring "nice guy." But girls, especially hot girls, will think you are a loser.

As a matter of fact, do NOT DO THE FOLLOWING (or ever tell a date these things):

1. Still live with your parents.
2. A Mama's boy
3. Are insecure.
4. Hate your parents or any loved ones.
5. Have hang-ups about sex in anyway.
6. Hate people.
7. Have no confidence.
8. Are passive aggressive.
9. Hate your job or boss.
10. Not have a life.
11. Have no car (unless you live in San Fran. or New York).
12. Feel sad because you are 40+ and don't have a girlfriend.
13. Wish you weren't a virgin.

Any one of these are death to any romantic prospects you had with a women you want to pursue.

You could be a welder in the daytime, just to pay the bills, but you could be a rock climber with passion for rock climbing on your off time.

You can be a lawyer but a mountain biker.

A teacher, but a passionate writer: writing the next great American Novel.

A dentist that's a race car driver.

A gardener that's a world traveler.

A trash collector but a ski-bum.

A taxi driver but passionate surfer.

You have to build a lifestyle. A life style is not what you do for a living, but what you have passion for in your life. Now, if you don't have passion in your life go get something that you have passion for.

You must be aware of what drives your life. Why do you do the things that you do?

Know why you do the things that you do. These are great things to convey to a women or she will just know that from the way that you are.

Now, don't think about why you want to get laid or why you love to eat McDonald's Big Mac or why you drink a case of beer with your buddies on the weekend during football season.

No, that's not what I'm talking about. Again, what drives your love of surfing, writing, skiing, flying, or "you fill in the blank."

Women, loves guys that live life to the fullest. You need to find what drives you and follow that passion. You should try to do that without the thought of getting girls, though.

By following your passion in your life and making no apologies to anyone why you are passionate about it, you will have a trajectory that will naturally attract women.

By the way: Your passion should never be swayed by any women, ever.

Trust me on this one: a woman can't stand a guy that makes her the center of his world. Read that again if you don't understand it. Read it 10 times if you have to.

If you don't make you the center of your world, you will be sorry. It's kinda like this:

"If you don't believe in yourself and your life, who will."

Make your life interesting and passionate and the girls will follow... by default!

If your life is boring and mundane, change it. Remember, to people in general, happiness is really excitement in life. Ponder that for a while, and then model your life on your exciting passion.

Find Your "Passion" Generator

It's really weird to think about why you are passionate about the things that you do. You've probably never thought about it. I'm sure that it must have swum by your head when I was talking about it in this section.

Here is a passion generator to help you "tease out" the reasons you have passion for whatever you do.

Convey this in conversation with your target when you are trying to make a connection with her.

Get out a piece of paper and write these out. Give yourself space.

The Topic You Are Passionate About: ________________.

1. I feel ___________________________.

2. I feel proud because _________________.

3. It gives me satisfaction because _______________________________.

4. It makes me feel _______ emotion.

5. I feel a sense of __________.

Try to get at the underlying feelings you have about something you're passionate about. It's not just that you are a Democrat or a Republican, but the feelings that lie under your ideas AND judgments, that are uniquely you about the topic.

Sometimes, it takes a raw type of courage to convey this to a woman you just met, but if you tease out the feelings about something that's distinctly you, she will be attracted to that honesty that is you.

You see, most guys can't be this way to girls because they are afraid that the woman won't like them in the "raw." They are afraid that the woman won't like them and it's really the only thing they have.

But I'm here to tell you that she will admire you for your honesty here. This is what women want from men, and what they mean when they say just "be yourself." What they are really saying is, "be honest with me about who you are."

As long as you have the confidence to convey who you are, you can talk about any topic you have a passion for. You can talk about Dungeon and Dragons as long as you communicate the emotions you feel when you play the game in contrast to the 25 hit points of damage you sustained against a 9th level lich.

Now when you figure out what you are passionate about, go do what it is. Live your life through your passion and it will show through in your life. Women will sense it in the way that you are.

So, if you always wanted to surf for example: surf! If you always wanted to get write a novel about your travels: travel and write! Duh!

Too many guys dream about what they want to do, but never do it. They live "lives of quite desperation." Men, and people in general "settle" because it's comfortable. Then, they live a boring life. They then become boring. Yuck. Don't do that. Take action. I'm talking massive action. Be who you are though your passion and live it!

So, create a cool life-style for yourself or at least understand what drives you so that you can show and talk to a woman on what drives you.

Making the Style Your Own

In today’s society, everyone would rather stay with the crowd than to stand out and be an individual. We have a human need to be noticed, but it is laced with the human fear of drawing unwanted attention. The incredible want to fit in has covered our uniqueness and driving out what is so great about the human race, individuality.

I am here to advice you on ways to take today’s trends and make them your own. My first piece of advice is to be comfortable. Comfort breeds confidence; and self-confidence is the path to beauty. No one would think you are beautiful if you don’t believe it yourself.

Fall Trend # 1: Red is the new black.

Red is in this fall. Everywhere you look from the cafeteria to the Red Carpet, from leather boots to lipstick; the color red is popping up everywhere. Make it your own. There are many shades of red. Find one that goes best with your completion and individual style. You don’t have to be looking like a tomato from head to toe to capitalize on this trend. Change it up by wearing simple ruby earrings with your black assemble, or a red belt with a gray dress. Play with it.

Fall Trend # 2: Plaid is back.

Plaid can quickly go from good to bad. Do it right. Don’t wear contradicting patterns. And never overdo it. If you are fancy plaid bottoms, always wear a solid shirt that match one of the colors in the plaid pattern. The same thing goes for plaid tops; match them up with solid bottoms. If you have a full plaid suit, keep the top unbuttoned and complete it off with a solid camisole underneath.

Fall Trend # 3: Skinny pants and puffy shirts.

I was as happy as anyone to see the leggings, skinny jeans and puffy skirts and tops come back. I wasn’t so happy to see that they are once again misunderstood by the people who chose to participate in this certain trend. It is all about volume control. The rule here is to have a blossoming top with a thin bottom, but you can also reverse it. It is okay to wear a fitting top with puffy bottoms. Play with them and see what is best for you. But, remember to mix up the volume and proportions.

There is a way to stand out while being in the midst of the crowd. Be fashionable but don’t lose your individuality. For more fashion and shopping tips, check out my blog "The Shopping Diva".

5 Fashion Mistakes You Should Never Make

Individual style should be applauded. It takes guts, personality and confidence to pull off certain looks, and anyone who expresses their individual style with gusto should be proud. But there are a few fashion no-no's that should really be avoided at all costs, because, let's face it, they just don't look good on anyone. Be a fashion do by following these fashion don'ts.

1. Socks And Sandals
Just don't do it, it really doesn't look good. I understand wanting to be comfortable, but if socks are truly necessary, put on a pair of cute tennies or slip ons. Better yet, find a pair of sandals that are comfortable enough to wear without socks. Oh, and don't even think about wearing black socks up to your knees with shorts and any type of shoes. I won't even get into my opinion on Crocs at this point, but let's just say that unless you're gardening, I wouldn't recommend those either.

2. Your Underwear Peeking Out Of Your Pants
Ok, So Brittany Spears did it, and so did various other teen stars and it was cool for a while. Let me give you a hint: unless you actually look like Brittany Spears, you probably can't pull it off. Even if you can pull it off, there's a difference between letting your thong hang out on stage in front of thousands of fans an paparazzi, and showing it off at the grocery store or in line at the movie theater. Trust me, no one wants to see it, and people are probably making fun of you as soon as you're out of earshot.

3. Wearing The Baggiest Clothes You Can Find
No matter what size you are, you are going to look better in clothes that actually fit you, rather than big, baggy clothes meant to hide your figure. Beauty is not size dependent, and most people will tell you that a person of any size who looks fashionable and put together always looks better than someone in baggy clothes that looks like they are wearing a tent. Find a style that works for your body type, and that you like and be proud of it. The more confident you are in your own body and style, the more people will be drawn to you and appreciate you for who you are and your individual style. Sit on a bench at the mall for a couple of hours watching people go by. Who looks great, and who looks like a slob? Find a role model and try to emulate them. If all else fails, watch a few dozen episodes of What Not To Wear, and see resistant fashion disasters morph into beautiful, put together people.

4. Over-accessorizing, or Not Accessorizing at All
Even the best outfit can benefit from a few well placed accessories. A great handbag, and nice necklace and some simple earrings can easily take an outfit from OK to fabulous. They don't have to match, they just have to be in the same or a complimentary color family. But a word of warning: don't overdo it. Great big dangly earrings, 4 necklaces, 3 inches of arm bangles and a huge, sparkly handbag is going just a bit overboard. Keep it simple, but interesting, and make sure that your accessories compliment your outfit, not overpower it.

5. Being Self Conscious About Your Style
Above all, find a style that you love (and of course that follows all of the above mentioned rules). Wear colors that make you happy, and styles that make you feel beautiful. The absolute worst thing you can do is wear clothes that make you feel uncomfortable, or that you don't love. Clothes and accessories are meant to be fun, that's why there are so many choices. Don't buy something just because it's on sale, all of those meaningless purchases could be traded for one fantastic piece that you adore, and will last a long time. Buy pieces that are classic, as well as a few trendier items that can be mixed and matched. You will never regret spending a little more on a great pair of black pants that will last for years, and you can update them every season with a new top or some jewelry.

Find your inner diva, and express your style for the world to admire by following these simple rules. A Little fashion knowledge can go a long way in allowing you to express yourself to the world in a positive, confident way.

Fashion Dressing For Success

Being in the fashion industry you would think that all the men and woman I meet have an amazing sense of style. Well you would be wrong. You should see some of the get ups that come into my building. Yes, you can take more risks when you dress in my business, but, some people look like they have lost their minds. Sometimes it isn't just that they look odd, but they are just clueless. From one extreme to another I have seen it all.

The first thing I am going to talk about sounds like a no brain-er. But, many of us have made these faux pas'. You must always be well-groomed. That means clean and styled hair (no roots). Make up that doesn't overpower and refresh your lipstick (if you are a woman) throughout the day. Make sure you have manicured nails and toes, no chipped polish and no art on your nails. Leave the rhinestones for the weekends. Clothes should be clean and in good repair. Hem skirts and pants so that they do not drag. No flip-flops to work (this is a personal peeve of mine). Perfume must be subtle. You do not want anyone distracted by poor grooming. One of the things I suggest investing in is a good haircut.

Another aspect of dressing well is focusing on fit and proportion. When buying clothing it is important to buy clothes for the size we are and not the size we want to be. A basic blazer can add a lot of punch to an outfit if it fits you right. Find a good tailor to help you with this. Everyone's body is unique. There is no way for a fashion line to make their fit perfect for each body. That is why a good tailor will make a difference by shortening sleeve lengths, hemming skirts, nipping in waists. Well-fitting clothes really look expensive. This is what can make mediocre - special!. When buying a piece of clothing, always buy it to fit the largest part of your body and then the seamstress can adjust accordingly. Also bring the shoes you intend to wear with the piece if it is a skirt or pant. Proportion is also crucial. You do not want to wear a long blazer with a long skirt, all over tight clothing, or all baggy styles. Fashion magazines, catalogues, and the internet can show you what shapes work best together. How clothing fits and works together is as important as the pieces you buy. So always remember fit and proportion when putting together an outfit.

It is now time to build the foundation of your wardrobe. These are the key pieces that you will build around. Make sure that these items are the best quality you can afford. They should be modern silhouettes, but not so trendy that they will be out of style in a season

1. Classic blazer in a neutral color

2. Black pants

3. White button front shirt

4. Black dress

5. Trench coat

6. Pencil skirt

Build your clothing around the core pieces you have bought. Read magazines such as Lucky and In Style which show you practical ways to put outfits together. Go on-line to web sites such as Ann Taylor and J Crew which also show outfits. Download, or tear out photos of looks that you like. You can take them to the store as inspiration for how to put your outfit together. Also when you get to the store there will be displays that will give you further inspiration. Take a friend that you trust who will give you unbiased advice as you try on different items. Then choose the pieces you want to try on. Be adventurous. Try on lots of things and experiment. Try on pieces you may not normally consider. I take my 18-year-old daughter shopping all the time. She likes my taste and I am her wing-man of choice. I always have her try on things that are different from her traditional wardrobe and many times she likes it and puts together something new. My latest look for her is shorts with tights and boots. Love the look for college students. You should be looking to flesh out your wardrobe. Don't feel you have to do this all in one day. It is a work in progress and you will always be shopping. Once a month should do it. You will need more skirts and pants, probably 5 -10 tops/jackets/cardigans and an extra dress or two. When putting together an outfit, use one basic, one wow piece, and a jacket or cardigan to complete your outfit. Also remember that one item can be worked in different ways. You can buy a pant that you use to go with a cardigan set, blouse and jacket, or a sweater. Go shopping and have fun.

My favorite part of the outfit: is shoes!! I love shoes: boots, flats, platforms, pumps, all of it. Shoes can really make a statement about you. This is where I like to splurge. I buy good shoes mostly, but I do throw in some inexpensive flats from Payless for walking in the street. Working in Manhattan the sidewalks can really trash your good shoes not to mention your feet and back. Payless has really cute flats and it beats walking to work in sneakers (hate that!). I am really careful with my shoes, having the bottom tips and heal lifts replaced often and constantly polished. I have a pair of Dolce & Gabbana sling back black pumps that I bought on sale for $350. Sounds expensive? Not really when you consider that I have them for several years, wear them all the time, and they make the outfit. If you amortize the cost over wearings it probably has cost me 25 cents a wearing. Good value right? So get some good pairs that you can add to your assortment. You need to own a black pump, a great pair of dressy knee-high boots, a ballet flat, and a pop color shoe (maybe red) as your basic assortment. Of course you can add to that and have some fun. I have a leopard print pump and platform booties that I love.

As I have been writing this, I realize that this is a lot of clothing to purchase all at once. So my recommendation is to start with 10 easy pieces and build your wardrobe from that. Start with the core foundation pieces and a pair of pumps with some cool t-shirts and it is a good beginning. Then you can build around them.

I want to mention undergarments. Sometimes an outfit can be lost due to poorly fitting bras and underwear. If you haven't been professionally fitted for a bra in the past 6 months go to a department store and have someone do that for you. Our bodies' change so what might have worked last year could not work this year. Also, many women don't know how to fit themselves. You could be wearing a 38C but really need a 36D. A professional is trained on how a bra should fit. Get a nude color to wear under white tops. Not a white bra which will show. Of course you will also need black. I am kind of basic myself and do not buy colorful bras. I would rather spend my wardrobe dollars elsewhere. Your undergarments should be smooth; you do not want to see any bumps or seams through your clothes. The best invention for women is spanx and their knock offs. This will smooth out your body so you do not have a muffin top or a bulging tummy. No more girdles, this the new shapewear.

My mother has tons of handbags. She has all sorts of styles and colors. When she dresses, she changes her bag to match her outfit. I, on the other hand, do not have the time or the desire to do that. Here is where I cut corners in my wardrobe. I buy the best neutral handbag I can afford for the season. I make sure I buy it on sale or at an outlet store. Then I wear it every day. I like to buy good quality handbags as I like what they say about me. Also I never seek to match my bag to my shoes (unless they are both black). It is a very dated look.

Accessories - the frosting on the cake. Accessory designers are doing such good work that sometimes the fakes look like the real thing. I buy accessories that are inexpensive but add punch to an outfit. You can take the most basic of outfits and add a great neck piece with earrings and wow! When dressing, at the very least you should put on earrings. You can then add a bunch of bracelets or maybe a group of chains around your neck. A great silver or gold cuff is terrific with a dress. It is the rare person who can pull off earrings, rings, and bracelets all at once, so try not to overdo. Also not every piece should be big and bold. One big bold piece in an outfit is enough.

It is time to pull it all together. Try to plan your outfits over the weekend for the coming week. Check out the weather so you can plan your clothing accordingly. Start with the basic pieces of your look, the dress, skirt, pant or suit. Add a top to go with it. Then you put on the top piece which is a cardigan or jacket (if your outfit isn't a suit). Do a basic with a wow piece. They can't all be wow and if they are all basic make sure the accessory pieces are the wow. Always try new combinations for all your pieces to keep the looks fresh.

Good luck in Dressing for Success!

Ever wonder on how to use airbrush makeup? It's actually not complicated at all. With good reputable brands like Luminess Air, Temptu, Dinair and Make Me A Diva, you have many options to choose from. With that in mind, choosing the best airbrush makeup foundation kit that are water based is usually recommended. Other foundations with mineral based and aloe-based are not recommended because it may cause irritation to users with sensitive skin. Look for your favorite blushes and primers to come in the package!

Fashion Jewellery - Essential Style Advice For 2011

If you're someone who loves fashion and dressing well but finds the whole thing a little bit confusing, then you're not alone. Fashion changes so fast it can be hard to keep up. To help you out, in the realm of jewellery at least, we've put together a little guide to the top trends for 2011. Mismatched bracelets are going to be really big, which is great as it means you can largely just wear things you've previously bought and don't have to worry about what goes with what.

Extremely long drop earrings are also going to be big in 2011 - the longer the better. This is a great chance to really make a fashion statement with your jewellery. Big hoop earrings are going to be really popular but it's the long earrings that just skim or 'dust' along your shoulders that are the hot ticket item right now. Earrings with a couple of crystals or little gems that catch the light are one really great way to wear the trend for maximum impact.

The cuff watch is also going to be a big 2011 women's jewellery trend. They are available in a whole range of colors and designs, which means you have loads of options to help your accessory stand out, particularly if you go for bright colors and intricate patters. Cuff watches come with a thick band of fabric for a strap, making them idea to make a bold statement and they just slide on like a bracelet. Alternatively, you could wear a metal watch with a thin silver or gold strap.

For the vintage lovers among you, you can benefit in 2011 with the popularity of vintage-style pendant necklaces. You may well already have something like this in your closet, so get hunting to see what you've got. Large pendants are sure to help you stand out and they're a great way to add detail to any outfit. For a pretty, feminine look, try a large fabric flower pendant on a string of beads. You could also go for a metal or plastic pendant for the wow factor.

Our last tip relates to an item of jewellery that's a true style classic. It's always popular and will be for years to come, meaning you can get great use out of it - the crystal. In particular, we love the little, sparking gems such as those by Swarovski that add instant glamour to any outfit. The intricate detail they embody really adds a zing to your style while still being ultra classy so you can wear them with practically anything while staying coolly fashionable.

Start Your Fashion Business - How to Start Your Own Clothing Line? Part I

Starting a clothing line is a real challenge. Let's face it: Starting a fashion line is hard and interesting but takes preparation (and money). You will need to thoroughly research your market and find the right niche for your clothing line. The demographics and the pricing play an important part in the final decision. Choosing a concept that you believe in makes it exciting to get started and easier to keep going.

A good way to get fresh ideas for your designs is to go shopping. Spend time in the malls checking on what people wear and what people buy. Do not rely too much on this method though as it is common for people to wear clothes now that were fashionable a few months ago. Be careful about your timing, by the time you finally launch your label, the fashion style you were involved in may already be out of date.

Branding your clothing line Branding your clothing line starts by making a clear decision on your clothing line's concept and target. A thirty seconds statement about your brand will help your brand and logo match together. Don't be afraid to be visionary and think (at least one year) ahead of your time.

A tag line, or short statement about your fashion line is also a great tool to sell your products and should be used as part of your sales pitch. Choose a name for your brand that is catchy and gives an angle to your designs. Then, conduct trademark research to ensure that it isn't already registered.

Good luck! You will be surprised to discover that the name you imagined is probably already registered by a dozen of companies. Some of them may nothing to do with the fashion business.

While it is pretty reassuring to see that the name you have chosen is popular, this also means that you will have to research further to find a unique label name.

When you are done, register your clothing brand's name with the United States Patent office. It isn't very expensive so feel free to register more than one name.

The success of your clothing line will depend on the exposure you can give to it. Nowadays, you need to be very present on the net so go and choose a domain name which keywords include part of your tag line.

Finally, register your company name with your city's chamber of commerce and take advice from an accountant to find out what tax returns you have to file and when.
