Jewellery - Effective Tips For Enhancing Your Style

Are you a person who regards jewellery as an essential part of your dress or do you add it as an afterthought or ignore it completely? If you're the latter then you are missing some tricks in adding to your style and your general appearance; if you are the former are you sure your jewellery is appropriate for you. Working through this checklist will help you maximize this important group of accessories.

Necklace

Is the colour of the necklace really working with the colour of your clothing? It might be carefully coordinating with the colour of the main item or cleverly picking up and enhancing a minor colour, for example, from a pattern. Is the length of the necklace appropriate for your face-shape, neck length and the size and proportions of the top half of your body? A necklace which ends on an ample bust will draw more attention here than you might intend, when a shorter necklace can give a much more flattering appearance. Is the scale of the necklace appropriate to your scale, particularly your facial features? Very large beads might be very fashionable; however you might have a petite frame and fine facial feature. If so the necklace may well draw attention, but for all the wrong reasons if it is not in balance with you. Is the necklace fitting with your style personality?

Large natural coloured wooden beads might be just right for a 'natural' personality type but not suit a 'romantic' dresser. Does your individual body shape, suggest that you draw the eye away from more challenging areas, for example from below the waist? If so then spend time and effort on getting your necklace right as it can have particular benefits to the overall first impression that you give. Are you wearing the necklace because it was a special present or an heirloom. If so do think carefully whether this is wise as it may not be fitting in with your overall look. In discussing a particular necklace with friends I've been told on more than one occasion that the reason for wearing it was that it was expensive. Both of us have known that this was not the right necklace for the overall look. Necklaces do not need to be expensive, they are worth looking out for at craft fairs& departmental stores as well as when doing the supermarket shopping. With practise (and advice from your image consultant) you'll soon be able to mix and match jewellery as easily as you do your clothes.

Bangles or bracelets

Just as you need to consider colour & scale of a necklace along with your own style personality you also need to consider these when thinking about a bangle or bracelet. Take a look at your wrists and make a decision about your bone structure in this region. Would you describe it as fine, medium or grand? Now choose a bangle that is appropriate to this. For example, large beads around a fine wrist can be overwhelming and attract the eye for all the wrong reasons. There are some other important points to consider when thinking about bangles. When your hands hang down the bangle is likely to be at hip level. If this bangle is broad and chunky it can add volume here. Wearing the right bangle(s) is an easy way to keep on trend but make sure that you choose ones that your body shape is comfortable with. If you decide not to wear bangles then there are alternative accessories that are worth considering. During a style consultation the advice for some body types is to draw the eye upwards- brooches and corsages come into their own here. Again, think of your style personality and look out for an appropriate type. Textile artists and craft fairs can often be a good source for a unique piece at a reasonable price.

Finally, earrings are a very good way of bringing attention to your face. The idea being to draw the eye to the face and not to detract all the attention to the actual ear rings. As with necklaces, bangles and brooches/corsages think colour, scale and style personality. In addition, due to their closeness to the face, do consider the detail of your face and neck. When you study your face do you see mainly straight lines- both vertical and horizontal or is the general impression one of curving features, or do you have a mixture of both? There is no right answer here, just that the ear rings chosen should take your answer into account. Very geometric ear rings may not provide the balance needed for very rounded features. I often get asked whether I recommend dangly or stud ear rings for most effect. Your overall scale and neck length along with the length of your face all have a role to play in this.

Dangly earrings on a petite person with a rectangular face often feel and look inappropriate. Wearing ear rings that provide balance can feel wonderful and lift the confidence of the wearer. As an image consultant my advice is that time and effort spent on jewellery is well worth the effort and you are likely to get compliments when you get it right. Understanding how to make the most of jewellery is just one aspect of the advice given in a style and image consultation. Besides gaining valuable insights into how to accessorise, you will learn how to dress your body with confidence whatever the occasion.

5 Career Options for Fashion Design Degree Holders

Society and parents in general tend to be wary towards encouraging people to work in Fashion for good reason. Firstly, they are right about the industry's highly selective employment. They're also right when they say that Fashion is "not what it seems" even though they probably have no idea what they really talking about. But before you decide to throw in the towel and take up accounting courses, or look for a no-brainer 9-5 job, here are a few fashion design careers to consider!

The Popular Path

A fashion designer's job seems to be surrounded by the glitz and glamour of having your works appearing on glossy magazines and the season's hottest celebrities. It's a no-brainer that people want to be fashion designers just like how some covet to be millionaires. To take this career path, you need a strong design portfolio. Prior work experience in fashion will be an advantage. So this is where being an intern during your holidays pay off.

There are two kinds of Fashion Designers:

The In-house Designer:

You will work with a fashion company and design clothes according to their guidelines. The company will own the rights to your designs while you draw a monthly salary from them. Depending on the scale of the company, you may work alone or with a team. Be an in-house designer if you have plans to join the big wigs like Fendi, Gucci, Prada or Louis Vuitton.

The Freelancer:

Freelancers work for themselves and sell their designs to fashion houses, directly to shops or to manufacturers. After building a good name, you'll probably start getting people commissioning you for design work. Freelance Designers have the flexibility of work hours and tend to command higher wages, but keep in mind that financial stability is at high risk. If you're just starting out, it's best to work as an in-house designer for some experience first before attempting a freelance career.

Other Possible Paths

Most people don't study fashion design specifically to join these ranks, but if you found that designing isn't your cup of tea somewhere through your course; these are jobs in the industry that you can consider:

Fashion Buyer:

You will be responsible for travelling around and buying suitable fashions for shops or departmental stores. Your knowledge in Fashion Design will help you to predict trends or identify quality, giving you an edge for this job.

Fashion Journalist:

You will write articles about fashion and source for newsworthy stories in your field. With in-depth fashion know-how and garment composition, you'll make a perfect critic and can dish out fantastic fashion advice.

Wedding photography:

You will plan locations and carry out photoshoots with newly weds or bridal studios. By knowing the ins and outs of a fashion shoot, you can make a couple look awesome in their matrimony garb.

Verdict

If you find yourself jobless long after you've graduated with your fashion design degree, all is not lost. It just means that your portfolio needs a revamp. Read up fashion magazines for inspiration and start sketching for a variety of genres. Employers judge designers by their portfolio because it's the most accurate representation of the owner that no résumé, job experience or testimonial can replace. It portrays your education, experience and personal style. With the right attitude, the possibilities are endless! If the world is not providing you with any shortcuts, the best solution is to make one yourself.

Women's Jeans and Fashion

Ever since jeans became a fashion item there has been no looking back. They are as popular as ever with a multitude of people owning a pair. From the rebellious years in the 1950s with men and women bringing the working clothes to the streets, women are the top buyers of jeans.

There are so many styles available to women these days when it comes to jeans. The fashion keeps changing and churning out a new style or two every season. It is hard to catch up but when it comes to women and shopping and fashion, well we do quite well. Gleaning advice from women's magazines and web sites, we know exactly what will be coming out and we know where to get them.

One of the most popular type of jeans are the skinny ones. These never seem to go out of fashion. Almost every woman has a pair of these. And then comes the comfortable ones. This is not actually a style of jeans but is different for every woman out there. One might think that easy fit is comfortable while another prefers the boot leg type. Because of the wide range of tastes there is a corresponding wide range of styles.

Like everybody, jeans do not necessarily fit you straight from the shop and so they need to be altered. Depending on your size and body shape you will need to lengthen or shorten or tighten certain areas. This can make buying jeans a real hassle and so when a good pair is found, multiples are purchased. There are some stores and online sites that cater for these issues.

Some jeans go out of fashion like bell bottoms and high waisted jeans. As is the normal way with fashion, people try to bring it back again. I always say that there is a reason a style of jeans go out of fashion and do it should not be brought back. This is true for jeans only as far as I am concerned.

Overall, women love their jeans. Whether they follow the ever changing fashion trends or stick to their tried and true ten year old jeans, they are a handy and fashionable item of clothing. There is no doubt that this piece of fashion clothing, no matter what style, is here to stay for many many more years to come. Happy jean shopping and wearing to all you women out there that are loving their jeans.

Men's Fashion and Designer Clothing Ideas for Fall-Winter 2010

As the Fall/Winter 2010 season approaches, along with it comes a lot of new and exciting trends and fashions. It can be quite confusing to know which designer clothing brands work best with others, and which styles are going to be the more popular ones. While wearing famous designer clothing brands is not essential in order to be fashionable, it can really help especially if you are not sure which particular fashions work for you or if you are looking to emulate a celebrity's style.

For those that do not know, designer clothing styles are released twice a year in time for the upcoming season. In January or February, the Spring / Summer collections are released. In August or September, it is time for the Fall / Winter collections. Each season has its own overriding individual styles that run year-to-year. For example, Spring / Summer clothing will likely be of light or bright colours, whereas Fall / Winter collections will usually bit a lot thicker than the Spring / Summer clothes to keep the wearer warm on the cold winter days.

Each season has its own set of traits and trends that run throughout all brands and is based upon how people and celebrities have been wearing the clothes in previous seasons. A popular misconception that its detractors spread about the fashion world is that fashion imposes rules and laws on what people that follow fashion have to do. This is a nonsensical statement as 'fashion' is simply the manifestation of popular trends as worn by people. Contrary to what the naysayers say, fashion is created by people, it is not the people's captor.

For the upcoming Fall / Winter 2010 season, there are already some trends that will be making appearances. Designer denim, such as Edwin jeans, Pepe and Prps will be very popular. If you're new to fashion, denim is always a safe bet. Try to get jeans that are 'raw', this means that there is no wash, abrasions or stresses on the jean. It is just the basic cut and stitching and nothing more. The great thing about raw jeans is that they look incredible when you first get them, and then over time the colours gradually fade as the jeans get worn out. This is really good, as jeans wear out according to how they are worn - they are a record of all the time that you have spent with them, telling your story back to you whenever you look at them. However, it is really important that you do not wash raw denim - certainly at least not for six to nine months after you get them. If they get dirty or smelly, try to dab stains away with damp cloth and try to neutralise odors with a product such as Febreeze.

Other fashions for the new season include a special tribute to the street fashion of 1980s Great Britain. This particular style of fashion is often referred to as British Terrace-Wear, a homage to how the houses in inner-cities and strong working-class areas were constructed. If you like the sounds of this, you would do well to check out designer clothing brands such as Gabicci Vintage, Farah Vintage and Fred Perry. A good combination would be a pair of Fred Perry plimsoll sneakers, a pair of Farah Vintage bottoms and a Gabicci Vintage Polo Shirt. For the sportier gentleman, you might want to mix this up with trainers and tracksuit bottoms from the likes of Fila Gold or Adidas Originals.

More contemporary men would probably prefer something less confrontational. In this case, they might like to grab a pair of raw Edwin ED-45s (Levi's 501s would also work a treat), throw on a white Diesel or Junk de Luxe T-Shirt and finish off with a black or navy blue cardigan from a designer such as Full Circle or Vivienne Westwood. If you are venturing outside into the cold, you might like to max your look out with a navy or black denim jacket from Wrangler, Levi's or Lee.

Whatever styles you go for in Fall / Winter 2010, it's important that you feel comfortable and confident. Experiment with different clothing combinations to get a look that makes you look and feel great. Do not follow fashion trends if they make you feel uncomfortable. If you are in any doubt or are unsure about what you think would work best for you, contact your local designer clothing boutique for more advice, it's what they are there for.

Choosing the Best Designer Frames That Fit Your Style

Fashion is a normal part of today's lifestyle. It can be reflected in clothes, shoes, hair style, jewelleries, and accessories. The emphasis on trend can change every quarter, season or year. Fashion is now present with other products that used to be detached from it. Designer frames is one of these. Eyeglasses are no longer just meant to correct vision problems. They can also be used as a statement of fashion and style. Although there are many choices available for different personalities, it is important to be guided on choosing the right one to show your personality, lifestyle and character.

Below are steps in choosing the best designer frames to match your personality.

Step #1 - Visit your optometrist

Before worrying about fashion, you have to make sure that you will have the correct eyeglasses. This is the main purpose of wearing one in the first place although there are people who wear them just for fashion. It is always safe to get your optometrist's advice on what your eyes require.

Step #2 - Buy from reputable companies

If you put importance on fashion and style, consider visiting stores that sell the credible brands. You can check on Ray Ban, Coach, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Ralph Lauren, among others.. These are the popular brands that produce quality eyeglasses. They also have styles that can perfectly match your facial structure.

Step #3 - Select the one that go well on your face.

There are certain things that can affect your look. Consider the facts below:

Skin and hair color

Choose something that will complement with your skin and hair color. This is true with all accessories. You wouldn't want to look awkward wearing blue eyeglasses when you have a dark skin tone. Although, there are cases when this is acceptable, you always have to consider the season and fashion requirements for the period.

Shape and size of your face

Wear eyeglasses that will neither be too big nor too small on your face. There are right shapes and sizes for different facial structures.

Design

Make sure that your designer frames will really look good on you. Try several options and look at yourself in the mirror. Then, judge yourself.

Comfort

Your eyeglasses and designer frames do not have to be too fashionable and yet sacrifice comfort. Style and comfort always go together.

If you are not sure of what will be best for your skin tone, hair color or for your personality in general, you can always seek the advice of people who have a high fashion sense. Consider the feedback of two or three people and use the process of elimination to make your decision.

Step #4 - Choose the best one to meet your budget.

Budget is a very important consideration. Stores offering designer brands have clearance schedules. You can always check out on these by visiting online stores. You can get the best buy for products that project your personality at affordable prices. When you wear them, the perceived price is high knowing that you are wearing a quality brand.

Given the criteria above, you can better choose the designer frames that you will be proud and confident to wear.

Audrey Hepburn Fashion and Style

Audrey Hepburn was born on May 4th, 1929 and died on January 20th, 1993. She was the most remarkable and gorgeous icon of the 1950s. She looked like almost any ordinary girl, yet was like no one else. Audrey Hepburn-Ruston was an award winning actress, style icon, fashion model, humanitarian and UNICEF ambassador. She had worked hard to become a ballet dancer but ended up being the world's famous and highest paid film actress.

Each of her films was enhanced with her original presence and she remained beloved for being unique. Audrey was graceful, cheery, beautiful, intelligent and confident. Most of the types of clothing and shoe designs are named after her as her fashion choices became a factor of influence. The Audrey Collection includes slim trousers, Capri pants, black turtleneck, ballet flats, little black dress, silk scarf, evening gown, hat and trench coat. Audrey never advised women to blindly follow her choice of clothing. Her advice for women was to have the right attitude towards their life and body. Audrey picked clothing that suited her body and not because they were innovative. She was expert in creating her own looks.

She had the ability to create a wardrobe only after understanding what cuts would look good on her. Audrey believed in dressing for comfort and her ballet flats were quite practical as well as sophisticated. She had her own beliefs and ate what she liked using her common sense to maintain a healthy balanced diet. Audrey Hepburn was an optimist who knew beauty started from within and clothes in the closet didn't make any difference. She had a positive attitude towards life and generosity for people around her. She believed a genuine smile could even make the simplest outfit look great.

Become a Trendy Fashion Follower

A fashion follower is someone who pursues pretty much all the latest trends. These are people who aren't satisfied with just watching fashion, but also need to be a part of it, by displaying the items on themselves and thus conveying this lifestyle to others.

Being trendy isn't just about the clothes; it also concerns accessories, hair and make-up. In order to be up to date with all of these things, you need to use all the resources to which you have access. A good example are fashion magazines that appear on a monthly basis (or even more often) and come in a large variety, offering you the chance to study the latest collections and giving advice as to how you can wear them.

The Internet is also a great place to find fashion information. If you're trying to get up to date with the trends or just want some outfit ideas, make sure to check out specialized websites and also fashion blogs. The latter may be able to help you much more, because most of them are written by regular people to whom you can relate and who make use of cheaper items as well as designer ones.

Another great resource in studying fashion ought to be your spirit of observation and reason. You should always pay attention to what people around you are wearing, and adapt that to your body and personal style. This way, you can get a great deal of ideas without having to pay a cent.

In order to actually become trendy, the first thing you should do is start putting a little more thought into what you're wearing. Try new clothes combinations (with the ones you already have), then slowly start inserting new pieces into your outfits. Accessories are also a great help, because they add a splash of color and pizzazz to your look. You can also find them at cheaper prices, so as to buy more of them without having to break the bank.

The most important thing you should remember, though, is that you mustn't overdo it. Not everything that is in style will necessarily suit you and you should never give up your personal style, because that is what makes you unique.

Men's Fashion - Developing Your Own Individual Style

Mens fashion and style interests men more today than ever, as they realize that looking good is an asset in every aspect of their lives: Business, personal or, social.

The fact is, a well groomed man will get a second look, your personality may be great but first impressions count.

If you are serious about making the right impression you need to check out men's fashion and adapt it to your own personalized style.

Get a stylish look your comfortable with

Some men feel confident enough to do this for themselves, for those who are less confident an image consultant can be employed, to give help and advice.

Fashion & Style

In today's world, to stay one step ahead, it's important to look your best. That means developing your own sense of style and this does not simply mean following fashions and trends for the sake of it.

There is a big difference between being stylish and just following the latest men's fashion trends for the sake of them.

A fashion victim is someone who wants follow all the latest men's fashion trends regardless of whether they suit their body shape looks or, age and is someone who can't put his look together.

Looking your best does require a certain amount of effort, but ultimately, your clothes have to fit right, and suit your style, image and personality.

Keep in mind, it's not about the clothes you wear -- it's about how you wear them.

The most important aspect of developing your own style is remaining true to yourself.
Just because something looked great on a model doesn't necessarily mean it's for you!

There are enough styles out there, so that everyone can be comfortable finding their own.

Be yourself

Wear what you think looks good, not what others believe is trendy.

You should always feel comfortable with what you're wearing, so stick to items that suit your personality and style, while keeping the occasion and setting in mind.

David Beckham may be able to get away with wearing a sarong but this probably is not be the best look for you!

The key with men's fashion is always to match it to your personality, age and personal features.

Don't Overdo It

Don't try and make to much of an effort to look fashionable that you end up overdoing it.

You don't have to wear every single trendy item you own, all at once.

By all means buy fashionable pieces, if they suit you and mix and match them with the basics in your wardrobe.

Maintain balance

Keep a good balance of basic and fashionable clothes in your wardrobe.

As a rule of thumb, not more than half of your wardrobe should not consist of trendy clothes, or worse, clothes that are out of style.

Don't Be A Slave To The Media & Brands

Don't base your look solely on what you see in magazines and on TV.

Celebrities and models often overdo trends for attention and media exposure, and their look will not necessarily work well in the real world or for you.

Finally, don't be influenced by brand names just because a brand has a great reputation, doesn't mean it will look good on you.

How to Attract Your Man's Attention Forever - The Perfect Guide to Pubic Fashion

This article should be a "mantra" for any woman with the strong desire to attract her husband, lover or friend and have him begging for her attention, and pleasing all her demands.

Due to unknown reasons, almost every man on earth feels a "blind" attraction and desire to a woman who has shaved her pubic hair. Yes, there might be some old fashioned men who are still into "traditional" hairy and unshaved pubic hair, but among your people, middle age people and even more mature and aged people totally shaved, partially shaved , or styled pubic hair has become something in style, in fashion and very common.

I remember 6 years back, hearing a conversation between two teenagers talking about how they were shaving their pubic hair because it was "in fashion".

So if you really want to attract your man's attention and have him paying to you all the attention and care you deserve, please check out these daring new ways to keep your pubic area appealing, fashionable and fresh:

Shaving: The pros of this way is that it is a very cheap way and if you have a steady hand, it is a totally painless way to shave your pubic hair. If you put a little of imagination and your own skills, you can have a brand new style every time the mood strikes.

Expert Advice: In order to avoid ingrown hair or stubble it is a very good idea getting yourself one of of the latest battery operated feminine personal pubic hair shavers. With a bit of practice and using the special oil provided, you will do wonders with your pubic hair.

Salon Waxing: The professionals working at these salons know their job very well, so they are experts and your style should look absolutely perfect.

This system will last four to six weeks, but the main reason lots of women avoid it is because of the potential for pain, although it should not last long with the treatments they will give you to get rid of the pain.

Expert Advice: Always agree with the salon aesthetician about what is the style you want for your pubic area. This way you will avoid any further surprise.

Laser Treatments: If you want to commit to a pubic hair design such as your initials, a butterfly or whatever other design you like, with this system you can keep the same design forever. Every one or two years, you should need a few touch-ups, but the most part, the hair will be gone forever.

Expert Advice: The cons of this system are that you need at least six laser sessions to elminate all your pubic hair, plus every year you may need to do a "maintenance" session to keep all the pubic area clean.

Conclusion: Initially, I would go for the first option (shaving). Get yourself one of the latest battery operated shavers designed especially for women's pubic hair, and use your imagination to get your own style (completely shaved, partially shaved, your own pubic hair design...)

If you get tired of this system (shaving), you can always try the salon waxing or the laser treatment options.

With no reason behind it, it's better to just to follow along and do the best you can. Not everyone is good at being fashionable, and keeping up to date with current styles is something ridiculously difficult, with so many sources of information through which fashion gets conveyed. From newspapers to magazines and tv, we are constantly bombarded with information about the latest styles. So to when it comes to hair, long and short hair have been drifting in and out.

There's so much choice that your hair type can be used to set the style you want. Obviously you don't want to do anything that looks bad with your hair. When you want a certain look, sometimes you have to compromise to fit in better with what you have - this is true with clothes and so too is it true with hair.

Create layers to play up your hair if it is thin. This will work best, and will compliment the face by creating more volume in the hair.

If you have a square shaped face then the best plan is to let the hair drift down past the ears, it works well and gives a good look.

Curls as well as crimps are two styling options that also work well for those who enjoy short hair. There are many different sizes of curl, so experiment or ask an expert.

If the short hair you have starts to lose its appeal you can revitalise your appearance by getting your hair dyed a new color. Just make sure it doesn't stand out and look odd against the color of your face.

If you are going to color your short hair then just remember your local salon has experts who would be happy to share their experience and get you a good shade that matches you.

Follow this advice and you will be able to get the most out of your short hair style, and pick the one that's right for you. Doing so will make you feel good about your hair.

It was once said by a successful businessman that to become an expert a person needs only to study around 3 books on a subject. If this is the case then you could become an expert in the world of fashion by reading and studying 3 good books on fashion. This could mean that soon you could be determining what happens in the world of fashion instead of being led by fashion. So this would also mean that you could be the person who could be creating the next big thing in fashion. This means that instead of waiting for the next big thing in fashion, you would be the catalyst that brings about the next big change in fashion.

What doors could open to you

By becoming an expert in the world of fashion could open many doors for you. You could get invited to attend many speaking engagements. You may also get opportunities to do radio or T V interviews. The opportunities could be endless, so by spending time to study to the level of an expert in the world of fashion could be very valuable for you. Also by developing your expertise you could also find that writing articles and books could further enhance your credibility. So you should now see that you could be the next big thing in the world of fashion. And that could be just a thought away so make a decision today and bring about the change that you want in your life.

Shoe Style Advice For Men: Shopping With Women and Fashion Tips 101

Never wear sneakers with anything but sports wear (e.g. a track suit). There are exceptions to this rule. Limited edition Nike or some high end Jordans can still be spiffy while not committing a fashion disaster. But even then, you'd probably wear something like a pair of jeans, a hoodie and the sneakers. Choosing a sweater with sneakers is a horrendous nightmare, Please don't do it! Sneakers can be worn if you know what you're doing but like I said, It can be best to stick to the classics when you're wearing sneakers.

Casual everyday shoes send a much different message than the average sneaker kind of shoe that everyone and their brother wears. Make your style smart. I like to be smart wherever I go so I carry a graphing calculator. My favourite makes of shoes not only look smart and stylish but they are also very comfortable.

Step out of your comfort zone and start wearing more daring stuff. It feels uncomfortable at first but trust me it's worth it. It's really not that hard to find cool shoes. Just go out and look around. If you have money it's very easy, if not it takes more work to find affordable nice ones but it's definitely doable. Take risks sometimes. I used to buy shoes that I felt were "safe". This usually meant sticking to "safe" colors like black, white, navy blue. Consequently, I ended up having a pretty plain wardrobe. Sometimes you see items on the rack or in a magazine that you could never picture yourself wearing. It's those pieces that you end up buying and getting compliments on because they're breaking the rules of fashion.

The shoes, as the rest of your clothing, should be interesting. Look for colors, a mix of patterns or material (say suede + leather) and interesting details. Right now, take a minute or two to study a photo of an interesting pair of shoes and see how many details you can list (even the sole is special!). Now, that's what makes a piece of clothing interesting. Learning about fashion through the previous exercises might seem tedious, but it's true that some women will judge you negatively on the basis of your shoes. Take comfort in the fact that at least men's fashion doesn't change as fast as women's.

If fashion holds no interest for you, why not skip the grind of learning about it yourself and instead allow the woman to do the hard lifting for you? Women love to go shopping with men, especially when they first meet them because it's completely non-threatening. They'll be at a mall surrounded by people. It's a similar situation to a woman you just met asking you "Why don't we hang out tomorrow and watch football?"

This is a great way to both build tension and get the best advice on what to wear. Be sure to pick a woman who has a good fashion sense in what she's wearing. This works best with shoes. "I need to buy a pair of shoes to go these new jeans I got. Want to tag along with me tomorrow and give me a female opinion?"

I've taken several women out shopping for first dates and it's terrific simply because all the money you spend is on yourself. Plus, if you do want to buy her lunch or dinner it's perfectly justified and sets a precedent to say: "I don't normally take women out because I think that's just an arcane ritual in our society, but since you gave me so much great help I'd love to buy you lunch." What's great here too is that you can use this to get some great info. For example, you could enquire: "I'm curious, what was your first impression of me based on what I was wearing?" "What do you think is the ideal look for me?" "Do women find this attractive?" Once you get a woman talking about clothes, she can go on for a long time!

If she says No, don't let it phase you. Even if she flakes or declines on going shopping, you just got some valuable pointers from her that can help you pick out nice shoes to help you get laid in the future. Congratulations!

The Secrets of Style - It's Not As Tough As You Think

Oscar Wilde used to say that fashion was something so hideous that it had to be changed once every three months. His acerbic wit aside, it's true that fashion, not style, is what's constantly changing. While some people run around chasing the latest trends and attempting to rock a season's popular look that just might not work for them, the real stars of the fashion world know to focus on something much more elusive: style. Because it's timeless style that makes icons, not grasping at trends. Having a solid understanding of what isn't fleeting and what is makes a huge difference between having a look that lasts and needing a new wardrobe every year.

And truth be told, most women don't have the income to buy a complete new wardrobe every year. So learning to be stylish is about more than just learning to dress well and in a way that makes you feel comfortable and sexy. No, this is also about learning to dress well in a way that won't break the bank and have you throwing out your capris and your tankinis season after season, wondering why you didn't choose a look that would last. Instead of chasing the trends, learning to shop for pieces of clothing that will last you years, not seasons, is the best step possible in becoming stylish.

One of the most important things you can do for yourself as a woman is stop focusing on the fact that you might not think fashion is fair. Yes, it's tough to live in a world where anyone over a size six is considered plus size, but that's not going to get a cuter pair of jeans on you any faster. A whole lot of beautiful women who weigh more than 100 pounds manage to find ways to dress well, not just get by. Don't let the sizes psych you out of being stylish, and don't get discouraged about shopping to find something right for you. It can be done, and you will do it.

One of the easiest ways to feel beautiful and sexy is to never let yourself under dress. Even if you're just going to be hanging out at home, you don't need to put on a cocktail dress, but please at least brush your teeth and find a clean pair of pants to wear that you actually feel not just good, but cute, in. Putting thought into what you wear each day not only makes you look good, it makes you feel good, too. Don't let yourself go for no apparent reason, and not because of a pressure to be perfect, but rather, as a service to yourself.

It's not actually that hard to dress well, it just requires knowing what to buy. And really, all you need to buy are a few things. It will take less than five hangers in your closet to have the cornerstones of a great wardrobe. One for a snappy dress shirt, one for a cardigan, preferably cashmere, one for a stylish and timeless pair of black pants, and one for the quintessential little black dress. These are the articles of clothing by which all other articles of clothing are measured, and putting in a little bit of an investment on them all will give you limitless returns. It's also much easier to build and mix and match outfits based on some seriously solid base items.

Aside from basic items, the most important choice you have to make is shoes. Shoes are the wild card to an outfit, the piece that can make you feel sexy and incredible or, if chosen poorly, allow you to fade into the background. Never underestimate a great pair of shoes. It is best to have a couple of reliable pairs, depending on the level of formal for your outfit. You'll be strutting your stuff with an even bigger smile on your face if the right pair of shoes are on your feet.

More than anything else, take this advice and figure out how to apply it to yourself and your own fashion. While reading tips in a magazine or getting advice from a trusted friend is great, the most important voice you have when it comes to your own look is yourself. Only you know what's right, or what's going to make you feel confident and powerful. Even with basic elements of style, what really brings someone's aesthetic all together is their own sense of self, so don't get rid of yourself when looking for a good outfit or look. It's important to find a way to be stylish while still being yourself, as the people who turn the most heads manage to stay unique.

Whether you're a young nightclubber or a power-suit wearing businesswoman, it's important to have a sense of specialness about yourself.

General Tips and Styling Tips For Hair Loss Treatment

There are so many reasons for hair loss like poor diet, genetic imbalances, hormonal imbalances, stress, dehydration and scalp inflammation etc. Over styling and use of chemicals or toxic hair products can also damage the hair, their excessive use can make the hair thin. You can save yourself from hair loss and hair thinning by selecting natural hair care products, vitamins and balanced diet.

General Tips
Since growth begins from healthy hair follicle, the treatment must penetrate the scalp to reduce the hair fall. many people are allergic to the toxic ingredients found in shampoos, which are likely to damage hair follicles. If you really want to restore the health of your hair then first of all you will have to get rid of the toxic conditioners and shampoos and buy natural care products. While purchasing natural hair care products watch out for fake products, do check the labels, prices, and try to buy a conditioner and shampoos from reliable sources. Besides intake sufficient quantity of vegetables and fruits so that you get all the basic nutrients that are required for the restoration of health of hair. By drinking plenty of pure water you can flush out the toxins from your body.

Styling Tips
If your hair are re growing or recovering then in such a phase short cutting must be considered. Short hair are in fashion and secondly they give a natural look and make you feel more confident. Pixies cut really looks good on women of almost all the age groups. Bob hair cut is another good option which can be made more interesting with soft bangs. Before selecting any style it is always better to take the advices from a professional hairstylist.

For men the best treatment for hair thinning and hair loss is head shave which is acceptable these days and is a much better and effective option. Men should avoid using gels as they contain toxic ingredients; gels also make a bunch of thin hair due to which scalp get exposed and results into hair fall. Similarly dyes are also toxic therefore always try to use the hair color which is made up of natural ingredients.

Strengths Extensive Hair Styles Galleries, eBook on hair advice, 1 year membership, Satisfaction Guaranteed, Very quick- find a new hair style in 5 minutes

Introduction

Advertising and promotional material for this website focuses on uploading a photo and trying on various hair styles. When I first logged in to the members area, the first thing that got my attention was the incredible amounts of hair style photos for very short, short, medium, long and updo hair styles. An immediate sense of relaxation came over me. If I couldn't find a good hair style among the thousands, well then there there just wasn't any hope.

There is also an extra E-book included in the membership that is barely mentioned on the web site. This E-book is great! It is a list of hair care tips and advice from a top hair designer in England. It covers all sorts of topics, such as how to select a hair designer, how to select a new hair style, various styling tips and tricks and what to do when your home hair color didn't turn out so great. This E-book has valuable information that everyone can use. I read every page of it--almost 100 pages total.

Hair Style Galleries

I quickly browsed through all the galleries, looking at all the different hair styles with different hair colors, textures, volume and even highlights. There are no photos of men's hair styles, ethnic or african-american women hair styles. The photos are all optimized to load quickly, so there is no time wasted waiting for photos to load. If you find a photo that you like you can click on it to enlarge it and even print a copy to take to your hair stylist. Printing the updo photos are especially helpful if you are looking for prom, bridal or formal hair styles. There is also the option to save the hair style photos that you really like in your favorites so you can play a slide show of them later.

Hair Style Editor

After browsing all the hair style photos, I move on to the hair style editor part of the website where I am told I can upload a photo of myself and try on some hair styles. The instructions to upload are very straightforward and I upload a photo of myself within minutes (it might have even been seconds). The photo that you upload should be taken against a plain white background and you should probably pull back most of your hair so it doesn't hang in your face.

Once you have uploaded your photo, you enter the hair style editor where there are four tools at your disposal.

Color Palette - allows you to change the color of your chosen style

Mask Pad - allows you to mask the undesired details on your photo prior to trying on different hair styles. For example, you may want to remove long hair that appears in a photo or the background of the photo

Size Tool - allows you to modify the size and proportions of the hair style you select

Trash Tool - allows you to remove the modifications that you just made without having to start over

First, I masked my photo so that only my face shape was showing. By the way, this is a great way to figure out your face shape! The masking takes a little bit of expertise with the mouse. If you are switching categories, for example, going from medium hair styles to long hair styles, you must re-mask your face again. You can change the width of the mask tool to make it a little easier closer to the face. After masking, I went to the category selector which allows you to browse through and try on hair styles in the five categories, very short, short, medium, long and updo hair styles.

Once you find a hair style you want to try on, you just click on it and drag it to your photo. It automatically loads. Then you can move it around a bit to make it fit right on your head. After you are done adjusting the size and color of the hair style, you can print it or save it as one of your favorites to view later. The photo that you get with the selected hair style is obviously computer-generated, but it does give you a glimpse of what the hair style would look like on you. For example, I have been wanting to add some bangs to my current hair style. When I tried on the hair style with bangs, it didn't look very good at all. I think I have decided to skip the full bangs for now and maybe go with just a few long whispy looking bangs.

Conclusion

Hair Styles Cuts and Dos is an immediate relief for anyone desperately looking for examples of any type of hair style. You can literally find a new hair style in 5 minutes!! The hair style editor is also a great tool to try on various hair styles and get an idea of how they will look on you. The extra E-book is full of tips and advice for hair, tons more than you would find in any magazine.

Typically a lot of women go and buy a bunch of magazines when they want to find a new hair style. If you consider the price of a magazine alone- between 3-5$-- and the fact that you don't always find the style you want in just one magazine, the price for admission at Hair Styles Cuts and Dos - currently $9.99 for a whole year ---is well worth it

The example face shapes are very easy to place on your photo. Determining your face shape is a breeze!! After your face shape is determined you have to line up the eyes in the diagram to your own eyes and adjust the color of the photo as needed. Next you move on to try on different hair styles

There is a large list of celebrity hair styles to choose from and if this is what you are after, The Hair Styler is your place!! Descriptions for the different hair styles are very useful. They include info on how long it will take to style that particular hair style, what hair care products you will need and what face shape and hair texture the style is suited for.

Everyday hairstyles are broken down into texture- with straight, wavy and curly as choices, and length- short, medium and long are choices. Formal/Bridal categories include UpCurls, UpSmooth, DownCurls, and DownSmooth. If you are looking for prom or bridal hair styles, this section will give you quite a few ideas for your special event. The descriptions for the hair styles are very helpful, giving you suggestions on styling, hair care products to use and how long the style will last.

The Classic and Dreadlock categories are not broken down any further and the Mens hairstyles choices are short, long and conservative. The face model for the mens hairstyles is still the women model, but if you upload a mans photo you will get a good idea of how the hair style will look.

In every category there is the option to save or print the hairstyle photo that you like. When you print the hairstyle it prints not only the hair style you like, but also the directions, hair care products to use, what face shape the style is recommended for and the time required to style that particular hair style. This is all very useful info that you can bring to your hair stylist.

Conclusion

The Hair Styler has many features that are helpful for selecting a new hair style. The hairstyles are realistic looking when they are loaded on your photo and the site is constantly updated with new hair fashions. The system is easy to use and no complicated software is needed, only an internet connection. Since The Hair Styler goes into face shapes and has many different categories, it may take you a little time to find what you are looking for. But the time is well invested with lots of useful hair style information that will help you with your hair style now and in the future.

Strengths Realistic 3D Models, Can get customized 3D face model, Satisfaction Guaranteed, Monthly Newsletter, Value pricing, Articles on hair styles, Oscar fashion, prom hair fashions

Introduction

Stellure is a relatively new site that offers hair imaging in three dimensions. It differentiates itself from other imaging programs because of the very realistic 3D aspect. Currently they have the first batch of 151 hair styles loaded in the system. They are adding a lifelike color tinting system soon and they have just negotiated a deal that will give them access to large volumes of top quality fashion and classic hairstyles. As more and more hairstyles are added, the membership prices will be going up. The best value at this time is the lifetime membership as it gives you the benefits of the increased catalogue at a much lower price. And, let's face it, examining your hair style and trying to find new ones is a lifelong activity.

The Hair Style Studio

Joining Stellure is quick, easy and secure. Depending on what type of membership you have selected, you can view hair styles on a stand in model or upload photos of yourself for Stellure to create your own 3D model to view hair styles. For the purposes of this review, we went with the customized 3D model. There are detailed instructions on the site for taking the photographs. You will need a front view and a side view. If you have scanner it is very easy to take a regular photo and scan it in for uploading. If you don't own a scanner, you could probably go to your local photo processing center and have it done for you.

Before you get started with the hairstyles, you are directed to the face shape wizard to help you determine which one your face fits into. The wizard loads very quickly and asks you several questions about the dimensions of your face. After you have answered everything, the wizard tells you your face shape. This is important information since all of the hairstyles come with descriptions that detail which face shape they are suited for. There is also a link to style advice in the members area to specific style advice for your face shape.

We opted for the Reflect membership where we would get our own customized 3D face model. We had two photographs taken of one of our staff members, one front view and one side view. Once we uploaded the two photos in the Stellure member area, we received an Email in less than 24 hours that the 3D model was ready. (They do state on the website that the 3D models will be finished in 48 hours or less). Once your 3D model is finished, you will get a list of recommended hair styles for your face shape and then you can go to the hair style studio to try them on.

To try on a hair style you simply click on the style and it will show up on your face model. You can set the face model to spin clockwise, counterclockwise or you can click on any of 12 different angles to view the hair style. The hair styles and face models are very realistic looking and the 3D view gives you a very good idea of what the selected hair style will look like from the back. The back view of a hair style is probably the most often ignored view of any hair style and the 3D spinning face model allows you to see the back from a very different perspective.

As you try on different hair styles, you can get styling information by selecting the small i on the menu, you can print the hair style and you can save it in your favourites to view later. When you print a hair style, you will get a front view, back view and a view from each side. The detailed description is included in the printout. Information such as suitable lengths, length descriptions, suitable densities, face shapes, trim period, texture description, styling instructions, maintenance level and styling time. These are all very important factors to consider when considering a new hair style. If a hair style you like requires 30 minutes to style every morning and you do not have that kind of time, then you will probably not be very happy with your results.

There is a search function that will allow you to search by category, face shape, hair density and hair length. Categories include: Latest, Classic, Glamour/Evening, Formal/Bridal, Easy Care and Updo. Face Shapes include Oval, Rectangle, Square, Round, Heart, Pear and Diamond. Hair Density includes Thin, Medium, Thick and Hair Length selections are Short, Medium and Long.

In addition to the hair style studio, you will receive a monthly newsletter that discusses the most current hair style fashion and how to get it. This is great info if you want your hair to be in fashion. And, if you can't find the hair style you are looking for, you can actually request it.

Conclusion

The fact that the technology used to develop the 3D Hair Style Studio at Stellure is patent pending says a lot about the high quality of the program. Most hair imaging programs offer just the front view of the hair style and Stellure offers a 3D look at selected hair styles with either a stand in model or your very own face model. It factors in your face shape information and offers suggestions for selecting a new hair style The results are very realistic and as more and more hair styles are added to the Hair Style Studio, this subscription based program will be the place to go if you want to find a new hair style and see how it will look on you.

Celebrity Beauty Tips - Hairstyles and Beauty Tips of the Stars

Celebrities enjoy huge fan following especially when it comes to beauty and style matters. Being a style-icon a celebrity is imitated by his admirers once he builds an image. A celebrity beauty tip, whether it be about skin care, acne prevention, hair styling, reducing body weight or any other issue related to improving looks has always been cherished by the admirers. Adjudged from this angle, the best celebrity beauty tip of the present age seems to be being ones own self.

Inspired by the doctrine that beauty comes in all sizes, shapes and colors and is more about self-expression than mere imitation of someone else's style, modern fans go for personal styling. A few generations back an individual would be content with just getting an Elvis Presley hair cut or a Marilyn Monroe makeup even if that gave a more or less dumb look. A present generation Tom Cruise admirer instead customizes the star's hairstyle to best suit his personality. Similarly, a woman obsessed with Julia Roberts may not opt for a curly crop, but rather sport her hair straight, a la Brooke Shield's style.

The same celebrity beauty tip holds for make up and attires. Considering the camera glares and flashes they are exposed to, it is very fitting that a beauty pageant winner or a celebrity will settle on heavy makeup and some out of the ordinary clothing. However, when adopted in everyday lives, the too gorgeous, overtly glamorous looks will best be termed 'blunders' on the fashion-front. No wonder that young women go for a lot of scaling down and opt for the 'girl next door' look rather than the 'Diva' look.

Most celebrities consider beauty as 'not just skin deep', and hence concentrate a lot on health care and grooming. With useful advices as natural and homemade beauty tips on skin, hair care and on other health related issues, this happens to be the most helpful aspect of celebrity worship. Although most of the beauty secrets shared by the stars are no different from the natural beauty tips one has grown up with, youngsters pay heed to these time tested beauty secrets only when it comes in the form of a celebrity beauty tip.

A celebrity beauty tip can be anything such as

o Sticking to healthy lifestyle

o Giving the body its regular quota of exercises

o Increased intake of water

o Meditation

o Direct application of natural products like honey, milk, etc.

o Application of homemade beauty potions

o Application of other beauty treatments like TCA skin peels, etc.

The perfect combination of homemade beauty tips with occasional TCA peels seems the right answer when it comes to stopping the onslaught of professional stress and makeup. The fast-action TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) skin peels cause acne, pigmentation problems, scars and wrinkles to vanish in matter of moments and is perfectly safe. With the effects of the chemical skin exfoliation lasting for 6 months to a year, application by medical practitioners is recommended. The wide acceptance of TCA peels in the medical community has made it much more than just a celebrity beauty tip.
